Larry and John enjoy swapping songs much like two storytellers sitting across a campfire—making unplanned choices based entirely on what the previous song tells the next singer would fit.
Larry Carpenter is a collector of obscure and classic songs, songs that tell tales from the farm, the forest, the tavern, ships or boats on big water and beyond, and delivers them with a strong, authentic voice. John Seymour writes and performs odes to his family and youth on the edge of a rural college town, testimonials to love and the planet, and tunes inspired by the streets of South Minneapolis.
